BGB Team Raise £1450 For Cancer Research

Last Saturday, Team BGB pulled on their running shoes and came together to tackle the Race for Life 10K at Lincolnshire Showground.

Watching our colleagues cross the finish line – some running in memory or in honour of someone they hold dear – was both moving and uplifting. See below what they had to see after finishing the race:

Ozana Robinson: "Ran my first ever 10k race, and lived to tell the tale!  I signed up thinking, “How hard can it be?” Spoiler: it was hard. But worth every step knowing our sweat (and maybe a few tears) helped make a difference.
2026, we’re coming for you, hopefully with fewer cramps and even more motivation!
"

Alex Holt: "For me it was a great milestone as I have never run a 10km event before and this type of event only wills me on to do bigger and better things for the future. It was such an amazing day not only raising so much money for such a great cause but to see the amount of commitment and drive from all of us at BGB to cross the finish line made all the hard practice worth it"

James Tupper: "It meant a lot to cross that finishing line and completing the 10km without stopping, especially having lost our little dog last month to liver cancer. I'm really proud of the 5 of us who completed it and raised so much for cancer research."

Tony Frisby: "Such a worthy cause, we all know somebody that has been touched by this terrible disease. It was a really enjoyable experience and a real privilege to run with such a motivated team. I’m looking forward to next year."

Simon Lunn: "Great to be part of a team event to raise funds for such an important cause. I am a regular runner so for me the challenge was about speed rather than distance, so very happy to run my quickest 10k for a few years. May be we need to do the obstacles next time..."

Well done to everyone who ran the race and thank you to everyone who came to show their support!  The team raised an amazing £1450 for Cancer Research.
